This is very much my thing.

Carpenter Brut
The Midnight
Gunship
FM-84 (esp. with Ollie Wride) Running in the night , Arcade Summer
Timecop1983
Lazerhawk
Kavinsky (passed away now)
Miami Night 1984 (Ocean Drive is my favourite) I went to Miami to watch England play in the World Cup and my hotel was on Ocean Drive. Walked around with these playing. Great memory!
Waveshaper
PRIZM (two country girls that moonlight as 80s babes)
Nina (Tracks like Beyond Memory remind me of early Kim Wilde)

Think 80s Out Run, After Burner Arcade vibes, Miami sunset, Neon colours. If you were around in the 1980s there are plenty of nostalgic 80 movies clipped together with this type of modern 80s music.

Some of it sounds like a kid playing with his first Casio keyboard on Christmas Day morning in 1983 but youll find what you like!

Currently quite obsessed with Red Cell. Seems they have been around years but new to me. Very much a Depeche Mode sound and they are my favourite band ever. On Amazon Music.Red Cell | Official Website – Synthpop from Sweden https://share.google/pgnIVIi2UnfXr7IoY

Interesting thread this as really it's all part of the New Retro Wavehttps://www.youtube.com/@NewRetroWave / Synthwave movement that started around 2011 ish , gathered pace to 2016 and vanished, only to come back much stringer in last 2 years.

People like Grum, Electric Youth, FM-84 etc are all from that era. Others like RSG (https://www.youtube.com/@RyansSynthwaveGuitar/videos) all started back then.

Lots of them are really good and deserve far more success than they get.

Ollie Wride is a really good shout above, he seemed to be going somewhere 2015-2019 and then sort of stalled a bit oddly.
