Anyone writing songs??

Hello!
Just stumbled across this forum so thought I'd drop in.
Anyone here writing there own stuff? I have quite a bit of time on my hands here and started having a go at writing some songs a year ago, I have just written my tenth! They are very average but it's really enjoyable. I play a Martin acoustic although not a really expensive one, I just love the sound of it, I started playing 2 years ago when I came down here and I have a very basic recording set up in the corner of my office, with a cheap mic but it sounds ok for me. I play miserable folky acoustic stuff!
So, anyone else into home recording and writing?

I do a lot of my own writing,i find it quite easy,and i have no idea where it comes from.I just do it for my own amusement.I can take the dog for a walk,come up with lyrics to a whole song,the guitar/bass part etc.It freaks me out sometimes where music comes from,a lot of musicians must feel exactly the same way.I could probably sit down at will and write,record songs all day,don't really find it that difficult.
Yes. I've written songs since I started playing the guitar, and have just teamed up with a close friend to write an album, which is now finally finished! About half of the ten songs on the album are written by me, and the other half have been written between us (usualy my friend for the vocals and melody, and me the chords). I play a Yamaha APX7 electro acoustic guitar, and he sings. In addition to that, for most of the songs I have written parts for a string quartet, played by our friends. The recording was mainly done at home using Pro Tools and a Digidesign 'M Box' plugged into my PC. I then did all the postprocessing and adding of effects etc (which takes forever!). The vocals proved impossible to get sounding right, so for the vocals we went to a studio just North of Birmingham called 'Priory Recording Studios', which was superbly equipped with an amazingly good engineer. If we do another album, we hope to do the whole thing there.
