Far too many awesome intros, couldn't pick a fave, from top of head:

For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica
The Prisoner - Iron Maiden.
Valley Of The Sun, Cherokee Lane, Pergamon, Logos, Poland - Tangerine Dream (TD are particularly good at awesome intros).
Oxygene, Ethnicolor, Calypso Part 2 - Jean-Michel Jarre
Assassing - Marillion
2 tribes - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
The Seduction of Claude Debussy - The Art Of Noise

nice selection, i don't like 2 tribes as a track but the intro is nice.

Castles made of Sand, Hendrix - Like the mellow kind of falling off in to a trance before it kicks in.

Franz ferdinand - Take me out, live is very good.

Doors - The end, i just see Martin Sheens eyes slowly rising out of a misty river when i hear it.

Stones - Paint it black
