Talented guy, if a little 'intense'.
During the days when Kim Basinger was in most school boys' w
k bank, Prince was spending hours sat in front of her having 'mind sex'. This might explain why they didn't last as a couple.
The guy is a total genius though - on a level so beyond Jackson its scary. Okay, Prince may be a little weird in the head, but thats the way with most creative sorts.
Personal favourite track would be Bambi off his Prince album.

No love for the Black Album then?
I remember the struggle to get a copy of that on vinyl for under £50 when it didn't come out... IYSWIM
I never really "got" the Black album, but eventually managed to source it on CD. Not that it was bad, but it never matched the hype.I remember the struggle to get a copy of that on vinyl for under £50 when it didn't come out... IYSWIM
He always seems to have albums with a good few fillers, and some extremely good standout tracks - Anna Stesia on Lovesexy, Illusion on Musicology, Kiss on Parade, Sign O The Times .... at his worst he's dire, but at his best he's just incredible.
Another massive fan of his earlier stuff , probably up to diamond and pearls.
Loved that every album was such a leap in style from the previous ones.
Truly a talent capable of making so many different styles of music.
So many good tracks, but I have Erotic City, Scarlet Pussy and Head burned onto the CD in the car.
Now then, quick quiz.
Other than "The Most Beautiful...", how many number ones has Prince written?
I can think of 4 or 5.
