Post your favourite Operas and Arias.

I've never really listened to or taken much notice of opera music in the past as I've always viewed it as being a bit 'high brow'. But I've just stumbled across this here:
Maria Callas - Casta Diva (Norma-Bellini)

I've just been completley blown away by this woman's voice, especially the high notes. I literally had a shiver down my spine listening to this and now feel the need to be a little more educated in this area of music!
So Ph'ers post your favourites up

I put this on another thread the other day, but it definately fits squarely into this one!
Largo al Factotum
Not an Aria, but an Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana
Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves from Act 3 of Nabucco

I know it's a bit down-market for some, but Carmen is head and shoulders my favourite opera. I just love the whole sensuous experience of the french take on spanish life.
Having said that, the two operatic duets that crack me up every time are The Pearl Fishers: "Au Fond du Temple Saint" and Lakme: "Viens, Mallika..."

Peter Grimes is amazing. Paul Bunyan also by Britten is underrated IMHO.
Pretty much anything by Mozart but Magic Flute / Figaro / Don Giovanni in particular.
Not a big Verdi fan but his two last operas are great - Falstaff and Otello.
Strauss - Der Rosenkavalier
Wagner - Der Ring Nibelungen (if you have a week or so of your life to spare! Did go and see the whole thing once - probably one of the few times in your life you can genuinely use the word "epic"!)

No particular arias stick out, but the sea interludes are fantastic.

On a different note (see what I did there), Donizetti's Pour Mon Ame is - for me - not especially great, but by fvck it gives the tenor's voice a workout! See Juan Diego Florez here:
