One of the best concerts I've seen was DIO back in '87ish in Manchester (supported by Warlock). Creatures hanging from the roof, lasers on the end of the guitars, full on cheesiness, but brilliant.

Very very sad indeed, I saw him a few years ago brillant voice. Sad loss to music.

Such a shame to lose a legend such as Dio. Saw him last year with Heaven and Hell at Sonisphere and was awesome.

Wierd, was just listening to the Tenacious D song with him on. Very sad news.

I really rate the two Sabbath albums he sang on, much better than some of the later Ozzy albums.

"I hear your cries young Jaybles you are hungry for THE ROCK" Never been a huge Dio fan but I know he was an awesome musician and seemed like a great guy. will be missed by many frown

RIP Ronnie. This chap was solely responsible for getting me into the music i love so much today. Time to get out Holy Diver and Last In Line as a tribute, then Rainbow Rising and Stargazer as a finale.
