Maybe not quite ballards, but I can recommend:-

Whitesnake - Starkers in Tokyo

Now before you think all hair metal, this is an acoustic set with David Coverdale and a guitartist and is some of the best recorded music that I've heard. Lots of examples on YouTube see:-
