If you wanted to have the best possible time at a live gig, how early should you arrive?

Say you were attending a concert in hyde park, how many hours before the gates open would you turn up to get close to the stage?

First time at such a massive event, really excited!

Thanks

Very difficult to say...some people go right to the front as soon as the gates open.

I would say that an hour before the headline act starts, is usually enough time to get very close the front, though there will still be people in front of you.

Who is it you're going to see? The type of crowd dictates how easy it is to make your way to the front, even if you get there "late".

Been to Hard Rock Calling 3 times... good friendly venue.

There are normally 2 or 3 acts before the main headline act. When the last warm up act is about to start try and get to a place that you want to watch the headline act. Make sure you have enough beer or been to the loo before hand as if you lose that place it will be taken quickly.

Enjoy Stevie but don't wave!
