I had so wanted to see Alex Harvey that night, and at short notice had to make do with some unknown band from Australia. Tres Bon.

But really who gives a st and it doesn't matter. Tragic if you knew him or are related to him, but it really isn't "important" is it? We revere music stars with far too much importance, if it wasn't them it would be som-one else - there's always the latest "hero".

It was like entering the Willie Wonka chocolate factory, only to be told Willie had retired that day. I think Pete could have handled the news a bit more delicately. Especially bearing in mind the onslaught that was to come from this ACDC lot.

I agree tragedy may have been too strong a word in the sense that he had not died, perhaps travesty would have been more appropriate. Carpe diem.

1977 was a year we lost a few from the "Rock" business. Elvis, if you can count him, died in the August, and in twelve days time it'll be 33 years since the plane crash in Mississippi that claimed the lives of Ronnie, Steve and Cassie from Lynyrd Skynyrd.
