Australian Pink Floyd Show

Anyone a fan? I have seen them a couple of times and was thinking of going again.

I have just seen that they have split. There is now an Aussie Pink Floyd band and a soon to be British Pink Floyd band. The British version are also going to be doing an 'Aussie classic rock show' this year (although it sounds like it should be called 'british classic rock show'

i think i might go and see all 3 just to see what the differences are!

I saw Beyond The Darkside last year at the Sydney Opera House. Exactly as on Disk 2 of Pulse, it's Dark Side of The Moon in it's entirity followed by the encores etc. Absolutely note perfect, a replica pretty much indistinguishable from the real thing. The real thing being of course the single greatest audio-visual rollercoater the world has ever seen. And note perfect if you know what it's replicating is no mean feat. For some time now one of the biggest treats I give myself is to stick Pulse on, so seeing it live is overwhelming. Yes, yes, and yes.

If we're splitting hairs they didn't crash the 'plane into the wall - but that's about the only difference.

So yes, if you're at a loose end it beats a night in front of the TV

I'm a big fan.

As you say there appears to have been a sort of split in the band, with 1 member of the regular Aussie Floyd leaving and teaming up with the guys that played as the the Aussie Floyd when they've toured North America since 2005.
