Just been introduced to his music. Anyone who hasn't yet discovered him, listen to the Tower Sessions (the drummer isn't my brother).

Yup - seen him a few times. Not recently though

Have a CD or two. Really like his version of Little Wing. And he can write a bit, too.

Did a bit of a double take when I saw the title of this thread, because, while I've been a big fan of Aynsley Lister for about ten years, I've hardly ever come across anyone else who's heard of him. One of his early recordings - Everything I Need - is possibly my all time favourite album.

Finally saw him for the first time at Glasto last year (at this gig: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcqos8cz7b4), which was fantastic. It was also quite amusing too, as I dragged a load of friends along, including one who's a massive dance fanatic who basically never listens to any 'real' music. After a bottle of rum, however, he decided blues guitar was the best thing ever and that Aynsley Lister was his new personal hero. Much to our amusement he decided to show this devotion by barging backstage to shake hands with the man himself! He then proceeded to vault several rubbish bins (oil drums!) on the way back to the tent and passed out in front of the Pyramid Stage, but that's another story.

Aynsley Lister was a regular act for the venues that Pete Feenstra ran around various London suburbs. So I saw him quite a few times (some pub near Rayner's Lane, I think).

If I remember right, he started out doing blues and then toyed with something a bit more commercial?
