Mrs G. has decided that she'd quite like to have an acoustic guitar for Christmas.

Other than writing a letter to Santa and having one made in his workshop by elves, where is a good place to find an entry level guitar?

I've had a quick google and found this:

http://www.guitarbitz.com/1440.htm

It is well priced and comes with a few little extras.

Can anyone who knows what they're looking at tell me if that's suitable for a beginner? Is it "full size" etc.

Thanks.

I'd recommend going down your local guitar shop and having a look at what they have. The guitar you have linked to is the one I got for Xmas about 6 years ago and I still have it. Its my festival guitar now and to be honest for the price paid its been great. Your local shop will most likely have the same fender package for probably less. I think mine cost 89quid back in the day and came with a tuner, some lessons and some other bits and bobs.

Check out Yamaha. Great guitars at around that price range.
