If I hadn't already bought my tickets to see them in July, based on that video I wouldn't bother. And I've been a fan since 1996

Reminds me of Foo from way back when they started out. And I swear Dave Grohll does not age, he is 42 ffs!

Mr Grohl is going to be my next husband; all I have to do is meet him. And that's gonna happen in July

Really? Doesn't do that for me unfortunately, I think it's terrible. Where has the music gone?

The Foos have done some of my favourite songs of all time, but White Limo definitely won't be on that list.

I think you need to listen to the first couple of albums again. I love this song, o think they are on to a winner.

I'm really glad they have taken the direction they have. It's about time the foos got some attitude back, I'm all for their brand of soft rock but they can't keep trying to make the same album over and over again

Its not the tune really, its the vocal. Actually the bits of the vocal which are intelligible are okay, but the problem for me is with the quality of the recording of the vocal. I presume its intentional, but you can barely hear it.

The excessive screaming bits just aren't doing it for me at all.

From The Colour and the Shape, I suppose it sounds like The Colour and the Shape. But what else? I don't think it sounds like anything from the first album though. Maybe Weenie Beenie a bit.

The album was recorded in analogue in Dave Ghrohls garage (literally) There will be a film about it later this year apparently. I personally like the new sound.

Well that would explain it. Fair enough, every band changes things as they go along and some people will ike it and some people won't. Unfortunately if the album is all like this I think I'll give it a miss.

Well yes the downstairs tracking area was very much like any (large) regular garage. The upstairs not so much! More like a no-expense-spared home/project studio!

Foo's albums haven't always sounded that great actually. Rich Costey mixed ESPAG, and although he's the 'man of the minute' for rock, I felt it was quite a harsh, thin and overly bright sounding record. The middle section of 'Pretender' actually hurts my ears!

This album has been produced by Butch Vig and mixed (yes, in analogue off 2" tape) by Alan Moulder.
The last time those two worked together, the result was Smashing Pumpkins 'Siamese Dream'. Wonderful record.

I really think this album is going to be very special indeed.
