Would have to be

1. Led Zeppelin supported by Hendrix or Free
2. Queen supported by Extreme or Dokken

I'm no Queen fan but I would have liked to have seen them live

Ps. Pretty naff festival if there are only 4 bands! smile So I'd also have Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, RATM, Pumpkins, Stevie Wonder, G'n'R, Nirvana, Sabbath, Queen, Motely Crue, Skynyrd, Bowie, Michael Jackson (circa 1990), CREAM, Kylie Minogue, White Zombie, Rancid, Tribe called quest, Taj Mahal, Rolf Harris (all festivals need Rolf), Neil Young, Marilyn Manson and Basement Jaxx.

Haha, I've played this game before! I think the last time was on the Wednesday or Thursday night before Glastonbury got going properly, sat round a camp fire.

Off the top of my head I'd say:

  • Friday: Led Zeppelin
  • Saturday: Muse
  • Sunday: Jimi Hendrix
Not very original, I know, and I've only actually seen one of them live, but I think that'd be pretty awesome. I think you'd need some indie and dance type acts in there too, so I'd suggest support bands could include:

  • Faithless
  • Snow Patrol
  • Moby
  • Chemical Brothers
  • The Wurzels (can't not have them at a festival...)
  • Bedouin Soundclash
  • Ocean Colour Scene
  • Manic Street Preachers
  • The Killers
  • Ray Davies (or seems we're in the realms of fantasy, why not The Kinks)
  • Foo Fighters
  • Reel Big Fish
  • Offspring
  • Less Than Jake
  • 3rd Eye Blind
  • The Coral
  • The Verve

And Sisters of mercy too now... Sonisphere has restored my faith in UK rock/metal festivals, 3 years running a lineup you can get excited about. Someone explain to me why people are still going to download....

Wildhearts slightly lost in an arena, much better in a theater, or ginger solo shows in front of about 200 people.

But still much nicer than the usual support dross
