Dubstep

Hi there music people of PH, I recently discovered I liked dubstep, yes late I know

Can anyone recommend any artists/songs/albums, and places to download them, iTunes is ok, but free is preferable . If it helps im kinda into chart music that has been remixed into dubstep, The Glitch Mobs' remix of Seven Nation Army being a favourite atm

Personally, i'd avoid the MoS compilations. Too much generic pop music that's just been 'dubstepped' to flog a few records. I'd recommend the Tempa Dubstep Allstars compilations. This is the latest one

Yep, I blew a pair of speakers (albeit pretty crap ones) with that exact tune, one of my favourites

Benga - Diary of an afro warrior is a great album especially if you've got a good sound system.

Mt Eden album, can download this free on various sites - chilled dubstep, very good.

Phaeleh has made alot of very good tunes, again pretty chilled out.

I download alot of collections from torr3nt sites.

I quite like Burial, Engine Earz Experiment, Distance and a few of the bits and pieces on the compilation "Transnational Dubstep".

I mentioned this in the other Dubstep thread but it's worth repeating here. There are loads of excellent mixes and shows on www.barefiles.com. Try a random selection from there, I'm sure you will find much to enjoy. If you get one mix from there, make it this one: http://www.barefiles.com/download.php?id=66

Also, have a listen to the weekly www.electronicexplorations.org show by Rob Booth for a really good selection of dubstep and techno.
