Just got hold of their new album - Credo. What a corker. If you're into electro, I heartily recommend it. COnsistent and tuneful, but with a dark edge here and there.

For those with a knowledge of the band, I'd describe the sound as a modern mix of Octopus (their mid-90s album) and pre-Dare.

Then i will definately have to have a listen. I love Dare but i also really like the League MK1 stuff. Any idea who produced it?

I have it somewhere on my PC at home ready for a listen; the few brief moments I listened to sounded good.

In a similar vein, Blancmange have recently released a new album - their first since the mid 80s?

Bit of an 80s revival going on with Human League, Blancmange and Duran Duran all returning to form.

Reproduction has long been a favourite album of mine and still gets played regularly.

Rediscovered the old stuff recently, loving The Path of Least Resistance from Reproduction. Apparently they still play the odd MK1 tune live, must try and catch them on tour.

Re Duran Duran - I've also been listening to their new album. Similar to The Human League in the way they've mixed modern and retro. And a great album too. A worthy follow-up to Notorious, perhaps?

I've been thinking the same - a lot of reviews are saying its their best since Rio, but I've always thought that Notorious was probably their best album - still do think its probably their best.

Planning on getting this, but not available here as of yet, and not on iTunes. Took a sneaky preview from somewhere on the internet, and fook me, it is excellent. 'Into the Night' currently my favourite.

Still not had much of a chance to listen, but the first track .... don't care who does it, but they've chronically abused the auto tune. Its horrible! Should be banned asap.

Love Reproduction, but Travelogue is my fave, Dreams Of Leaving, and WJXL tonight in particular, but the album needs to be listened to from start to finish.

Edited to add that 'Being Boiled' from 'Reproduction' is the best Human League track ever!
