I can't stand U2. As Art Brut say, "Why would anyone want to sound like U2?"

But I do like, some would say, love, one song. Acrobat, from Achtung Baby.

Recently I was sat in the car for some reason (waiting for it to stop raining I think) and listening to the radio, not paying much attention - till this absolutely BRILLIANT track came on! Who the hell is THAT? I was wondering all the way through. When it finished the DJ said ... 'and that was U2.'

WHAT? The worst fking band in the world, U2, and they did that? In fact I was so shocked I missed the title so now I'll probably never know what it was. But it has proved my theory, the truth of which I'd suspected for years; no matter how bad the band is, they will have at least one song you like.

(My own examples include Love Is Like Oxygen by Sweet, and Ordinary World by Duran Duran. My God, I feel sick even having to mention those names.)

dillinger escape plan are practically unlistenable due to their hectic relentless time signatures and noisy delivery.however the song 'black bubblegum' is inspired genius.the chord shifts in the chorus have hooked into my cerebral cortex for eternity.
