Shamelessly stolen from Retro Rides. What was the UK Number 1 single when your car was first registered? Does it suit the car?

I'm not going to bother with the Beetles as I don't know when the '81 was made and the '65's track was incredibly dull and I can't be bothered to dig out the date again.

So...

Peugeot 309 GTI

Pump Up the Volume - MARRS smokin

An utterly fabulous track I'm sure you'll agree. Interestingly*, I decided to start a cassette collection a few weeks back given that it still has the original Philips 751 installed and after spending £1.50 at the local car-boot sale, I came away with 30-ish tapes, one of which was Now 10 (double cassette, baby cool) that includes this very track. I think it really rather captures the fun nature of the little Peugeot.

So, good or awful. What is the track that shall forever be linked with your motor? http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/birthdayno1

Mods- This is mainly a car-based discussion. Please don't move it, I spend enough time talking to music obsessives to know that I will not enjoy having it in the Music section. Thanks.

* I lied

Your car easily makes up for it though.

Nice. I could definitely see myself in an RS2000 blasting that out down the local high-street.

Good Times by Roll Deep, or possibly Roll Deep by Good Times? I've never heard of it but it was almost exactly one year ago, and my memory isn't so good...

Means nothing to me. In the Summer of 1993 I was occupied with far more important matters than the top 10.
