Used price of a RV8 4.6

I have a pal who wants to sell his Rover V8 4.6 non Gems engine.

Top hatted and refreshed with new shells and rings 4K ago.
Standard cam, heads, inlet and plenum.

Any ideas on a fair price?

£1200-£1500 i would have though.

I sold a non-runner 4.0 with a top hat block for £850 and that was probably a bit cheap.
