Went last year. Very little in the way of signs, parking the car was a nightmare. The event was good though, stood by the barrier facing the sea.

if i'm here then definitely. going with a few from work. not decided whether to pay for a seat or watch it from one guy's balcony with beers

I'll be abroad this year, but last year's event was really good. We avoided the traffic by taking the Metro and strolling down to JBR.

I havent got tickets yet- I shall get some for an appropriate grandstand, but I have the sight complication of doing a brunch beforehand, so its 50/50 if im sober enough to attend.

What ever happened to the Red Bull Air Race? Didn't they used to have that in Abu Dhabi?

I always fancied it but missed the 2010 race by about three days, just when I first moved to the country.
