Can anyone give me a guestimate of the number of events/heat cycles you can put through a set of Avon A15 compound hill climb slicks before the performance starts falling away? Car is a Caterham with around 200ish bhp, weighing 550kg.

Thanks, Robbie.

I guess it depends on how competitive you want to be. I used to notice some reduced grip after about 4-5 events on my 180 bhp/320kg OMS single seater, but was not that good or wealthy enough to warrant renewing them at that stage. biggrin

Robbie,

Surely the new beast is more than 200 bhp wink

See you Saturday

Thanks for the feedback, had hoped it would be better than 4-5 events, given they are £900 a set... Peter, sadly around 200ish bhp is about right, pretty fed up at the moment.

Cheers, Robbie

Please be aware that my estimation is based on a minimum of 4 runs per event and since the majority of the events I do are sprints, the distance is generally quite a bit longer than for hill climbs.
