Being 6' 3'' and 20 stone I am struggling to find a race seat large enough to accommodate my ample buttocks. Well not one at a reasonable price anyway.

I am actually on a diet in an effort to slim down a bit but does anyone else know where I can get a suitable seat? It needs to be suitable for sprint & hillclimb events and fit a BMW 3 series. I have used Cobra Monaco S but it's a bit too small to be suitable.

Can't remember the model but we bought a seat for last years racing from Cobra for our E36 and it was great. I remember it was the GT version which is basically the wide boy. The mounts they sent were still wrong after 3 sets but we just modded them ourselves in the end.
Last race of the season I was 21stone and I'm 6ft 1 and fitted fine, happily down to low 18s now and still heading south thankfully.

Im 6ft & rather heavy, I used to use a sparco evo XL but actually found it slightly to big, nice & comfy yes, but had to really tighten the harness's to stop me sliding around, now have a much tigher seat (sparco pro advan) which once you get used to it is much better.
drop me a pm if you want to buy my old seat, have just been using it as a passenger seat on track days

Thanks guys.

I've mailed Motordrive but meanwhile I'd be keen to buy your old seat andy-rob and I've mailed you - thank you.

I'm also stepping up the diet and bought an exercise bike in an effort to a) boost weight loss and b) increase the strength I have in my left leg and I broke my neck, back, pelvis & femur. I put weight on after a year or so in a wheelchair but the time has come to lose it.

I've got an OMP extra seat. I needed it for the extra height but it's a bit wider than a standard seat as well.

I did have one of the more modern seats with wrap round head restraint bit but being broad shouldered, I couldn't even sit back in the seat.

Anyway, all sorted thanks.

I'm 6'5' and was about 115kg at one point last year, I was perfectly comfortable in a Corbeau Sprint XL seat. I think the Revenge is the same mould but with the side 'wing' restraints you speak of.

If you give them a ring I think they've also made a supersize mould if that's not big enough for you.

Seat arrived today thanks Andy.

I'm like the Cinderella of race seats. Fits perfectly!
