looking at adding a heated element type front windscreen to my track car as fogging can sometimes be an issue and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with any suppliers.
OEM is not an option, they dont offer a heated screen but i see ricky evens motorsport glass does them. has anyone used them for glass (heated or otherwise)?

any other alternatives. there doesnt seem to be any DIY stuff that i could see unlike for rear screens.

any one know which side of the screen the electric feed goes to? For a race loom built from scratch.

Not getting one now as I have a perfect Laminated one, but want in the loom, switch setup.

on the e36 the screen is divided into 2, so the connection is both sides smile

They do draw quite a bit of current so you prob need some heavy duty wire, and relays etc.

First post here smile Just though I may be able to help, the screen in my clio from Ricky Evans has got the connections on both sides. See http://www.heatedwindscreen.com/acatalog/wireing_d... for wiring details smile

Cool so just to be clear the diagram is for if connecting to either of the left or right connectors from the screen, but they are on both sides. If so cool, I can make loom have enough length to get to those corners and secure it off unde rthe dsh until such time as I might replace with a heated one.

Cheers.

Yes I'm pretty sure that is correct although I didn't do the loom in mine so can't be certain, from my discussion with them though it is two of those looms just connected into one switch, Good idea to get it in now like you are doing and makes it future proof smile
