How to start in Junior Rod??

My 11yr son currently races MSA Karts but would like to race full size cars if possible. Looking around at different classes and while he likes the look of Autocross, the nearest track to us (Basingstoke) is over 2hrs away.
Another option I found is Junior Rods - but can't much info on how to start, what you need etc - looks like they run them at Aldershot (FMC) - any info on where else to look, find possible race prepped cars etc?
