Hi

Just after some help with understanding a regulation that I seem to keep coming across when reading rules for racing series. The series I'm interested allows both turbo and non turbo cars and the regs say the co-efficient for forced induction will be 1.5:1. Could anyone explain to me what that means please?

Any help appreciated, thanks

And be careful as the MSA equivalency factor is 1.7. If you are building an engine to fit into a below 2000cc class check how long they intend to keep to 1.5

At 1.5 a 1300 will be below 2000cc at 1.7 you will only be able to use 1175cc

Thanks guys that's cleared that up for me. Incidently it's Castle Combe Saloons I'm thinking of having a go at, 4 different classes but I was thinking of going in the 1800cc to 3000cc class.

if you dont already have the car that fits the class, you would be better to source the car that fits the budget rather than pick a class and work to that. IIRC the championship winner has been a class B car for the last two years though its a bit fruity to say the least!

Ok thanks everyone for the input.

And yes Pablo (good advice) gona weigh up the options with obviously budget being one of them but I think class A would give the best chance to be at the front / win the race so that's one of the reasons for choosing that class.
