Only 3 days to go to Knockhill.

Celebrating 20 years of the BTCC they're doing demo runs with Clelland back in his Cavalier and an asortment of other super tourers including David Leslie's Accord and Anthony Reid's Primera.

The Clios arent racing so the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup and Classic Sports and Saloons are supporting again.

Here's a video of their antics last year:

Fingers crossed the weather holds together!

If only it was two weeks earlier when the weather was amazing! Got some tickets I won from Dunlop, so I'll be there. Looking forward to the MINIs and the Classics.

No Thorney, Rob Austin, Tony Gilham or Ollie Jackson for this round. So it's a 19 car grid with the 4 NGTC Hondas, 2 MGs, 3 Toyotas, 3 Vectras, 3 BMWs, 2 Focuses, the Proton and the S2000 Civic.

Looking forward to seeing the Scottish Minis and Classics on ITV4 - I haven't made it up to Knockhill for a couple of years and don't have Motors TV so it's great to see them on the tv again! I'm maybe a little biased but the Scottish series really do give excellent racing in my opinion.

I'm jealous of everyone who can go though, especially since hearing about the super tourers being there for demo laps. Hopefully a few photos and videos will make it online for those of us who can't go, it sounds like being a really good day (well, if the weather's reasonable, knowing Knockhill from past years, it'll be either torrential rain or scorching heat...). 19 cars is maybe a bit low but could be worse too, it's a shame there's always a few who miss the journey though.

GoRacing TV feature most of the racing, little slow at uploading the action though:

26 last I heard. Apparently we're being limited to a 28 car grid.

Total loss mate. You know Tim, although you can throw one of these cars together in quicktime, not with his level of attention to detail.

Thats not entirely accurate, the shell came back from the bodyshop the Tuesday before Croft wink

To give a rough idea of duration, Tim estimated he'd spent 500hrs on the Gulf Mini's build.

Thanks, I'd seen that linked on facebook a while back, been meaning to check it out! Looks pretty good, should let me catch up a bit more anyway. Hoping you guys have some southern away rounds again next year, Oulton is as far north as I can easily make really so I'm always happy to see that or Cadwell on the calendar.

Can't wait to see the Cavalier in action. It's actually the first ever BTCC Cavalier chassis from 1990 in the 1992 livery.
