Race car insurance

i think this may have been asked before. couldnt find anythin in search

im thinking of doing some historik racing in my car. i wonder if most people who do occasional racing bother with racing insurance

my car value is around 30k

wil maybe do a few races in this year. I dont have much experinece yet

I don't bother, put parts are reasonably cheap. MK3 MX5

If you do a couple of races and your car is worth a lot its a good idea. But it is circa £400 for a weekend. Plus a large excess.
