TV coverage has been confirmed for the Marangoni/GAZ Shocks Compact Cup, Toyota MR2 Championship and other categories organised by the 750 Motor Club. Seven race days will be filmed by AMG TV in 2013, for transmission on Motors TV.
At each event, the Compact Cup and MR2 Championship action will be edited into half-hour programmes dedicated to the respective series, while coverage of the remainder of the Club’s championships will be rounded up in a one-hour highlights programme.
“We know that many of our competitors appreciated the television coverage that we received in 2010 and we are pleased to be able to offer it again,” said 750MC Competition Manager Giles Groombridge. “Separate sponsorship deals ensured that the Compact Cup and MR2 Championship received dedicated programming but the Club’s Board have committed to the remainder of the funding required ensuring that all of our classes will receive some coverage during 2013.”
“I am delighted to be working with the 750 Motor Club once again,” said Andy Glossop of AMG TV. “When we last covered the Club’s events in 2010 the quality of the racing was superb and made for excellent television, and I am confident that it will be more of the same this year.”
The Marangoni/GAZ Shocks Compact Cup, for the BMW Compact E36, was the second-fastest growing series in the country in 2012 and confirmation of Championship status has created a further surge of interest for 2013. The Toyota MR2 Championship was the 15th most well-supported series in the country last season, on a list of more than 200, with recent graduates using it as a step into higher-level sports car racing.

That's good news and Andy of AMG is a class operator
Got to agree with that. I am sure AMG covered us when we raced in Eurosaloons in 2010 and he definitely covered us on Ma5da in 2010 and 2011. Ma5da moved to another production company in 2012 and it wasn’t a patch on Andy's TV coverage. It is looking good especially with the Top Gear-ish ‘star in a reasonably priced race car’ there doing.. I see Paul O’Neil confirmed on his facebook page that he’ll be the 1st to take up the challenge at Donington and they have TO-C coming back.. be interesting to see who the other 5 will be??
