This is very true, but usually it will be fixed using a couple of hefty straps rather than a bit of plate welded to the bottom of the swirl pot and bolted to the floor. If done properly then the swirl pot can be fitted happily in the boot, but often or not it is done in a shocking manner. You do need to make sure you have an additional fire guard over the tank though. I have a bag tank in behind the drivers seat. It does however have a carbon bulkhead fitted around it. You can keep the inspection plate visible, but even the fuel tubes need to have overbraiding around them.
Just to say again...please dont run 200 series hose in the car though

When someone fits say an ATL tank in the boot like this one here.

Scroll down a bit.
Where do they put the lifter pump and swirl pot etc? Inside the ATL box too or somwhere else? Also whats wrong with 200 fuel lines in the cabin?

The 200 series are porous, a bit like a goretex jacket...so although it will not leak it will allow the vapour out. Best to look at the 810/900 series as they have a Teflon lining.http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a3-s3-sportback-8p-ch...

If you look in the catalogue it states not to use the 200 in car.

Very true. I've been in a car with them & it was full of fuel vapour after being closed up for a couple of hours. If you look in the catalogue it states not to use the 200 in car.
Swirl pot, etc are fine in the car as long as they are separated from the drivers compartment.
eg. If it is a saloon, put a bulkhead where the back seats were.
