Sprinting a Jaguar XKR
Discussion
Hi all, newbie member here!
I intend to enter my road car, a 1999 Jaguar XKR, in some sprints this year. I'm going to run in the production class so mods are few/nil, but if anyone's run an XKR or XK8 in sprints or hillclimbs I'd be grateful to hear what experiences you had, good or bad.
Thanks, John

There is a guy who ran this XKR @ Loton Park in 2010.

I will check my time results and let you know how he got on.

Op its great fun. Only word of warning I have - make sure you have a way of getting home if you stack it. That is a big risk of driving to sprints in the car you will compete in.
This seems obvious, but many don't do it. Remove all the bits and bobs you have loose in the car, dont cart the spare wheel, jack, towrope, litre of oil, socket set, wellies, kids books etc around the track - the weight will only slow you down and the peanut dropped 4 years ago by a butter fingered passenger will end up in your right ear requiring surgical removal
If you come to Prescott, let me know, I will say hig and cheer you on
