Good morning folks,

The Scimitars and Triumphs had Harewood to themselves this weekend with Steve Louch's Scim showing a clean pair of heels to the rest of the field with a spirited and very creditable 66.61. Second place on handicap went to Martin Dyson in a Triumph GT6. Full results and new leaderboard here: http://media.wix.com/ugd//fd72d2_50ca1f6c765e19683...

I spent last Saturday at Prescott where I gathered a huge amount of data from cars as diverse as a swarm of Healey Sprites to the monster Allard's that squirmed their way up the hill. All useful information.

Two other odds and ends from me - I am starting to compile the calendar for next year and am open to suggestions for this series. Classic Marques timetable is already pretty diverse, but where are we not going that we should be?

Secondly, the algorithm for 2014 will continue to evolve as I make the series more accessible to older cars. To that end I am introducing a Tech Shift component which recognises that some cars are more inherently capable than others irrespective of their power / weight / tyres.

Fundamentally, the series will continue to promote the principal that it is the best driver on the day that wins and not necessarily the car with the biggest engine. We have a series like no other and long may it remain so.

If you've not signed up for this year yet, the regs are on the home page of the website: www.classic-marques-speed-challenge.com

Cheers
Steve
