Currently researching which race series to compete in next season and am struggling to choose a series.

I have come across the Legends race series however having done search's on google and ten tenths and am struggling to find information. I thought I would try on here before bothering teams to find out if it sounds like my cup of tea.

The cars and entry costs appear very reasonable and the racing looks very enjoyable however for those that do compete is there a lot of damage during races?
How often are tyres replaced and are the top teams out testing all the time.
