Hi Guys

What type of monitor and connector do I need for pit wall lap times please?

Cheers
Mark.

It varies.

Most need an analogue (UHF/VHF) signal, but even modern digital TVs often have an analogue tuner in them still.
Some pitwalls have 'normal' push-in coaxial aerials like at home.
Some pitwalls have a screw in type coax, like Sky boxes for example.

Some have normal 3-pin 240 volts, others don't. Some don't have power at all. Mobile Internet and Live Timing Online is sometimes a solution too.

And the new Silverstone Sunken Pitlane uses a digital signal (apparently).

I guess I need to take maplins along with me then lol. I'm thinking monitor then is wrong and rather small flat TV screen or ipad with 3g card in it connected to TSL timings.

Depends, Donington and Silverstone certainly work on a normal Freeview receiver when TSL are the timekeepers; their screens are just normal small Freeview TVs IIRC.

Can't vouch for other circuits, but I believe most major ones are the same!
