Performance Friction Pads

Hi there - could anybody recommend a supplier/distributor of Performance Friction brake pads and advice! I took a look at their website but most seem to be Porsche based suppliers, and I do not run a Porsche - not sure if that matters.

Hhmm - I did that and they suggested i look at their website!

I should add I was hoping someone could recommend a friendly supplier who could offer advice on which compounds would be suitable etc

What's your intended use? I bought PF06s for my Boxster - although excellent on track, they were just far too noisy to use on the road.

I used Questmead in the past but I believe they only sell to trade these days. They were always very helpful on the phone.

You don't state what car its for, but I regularly use http://www.indigo-gt.com/ for most my track car requirements.

I compete in sprints and hill climbs and do the odd trackday and use 01 compounds front and rear, which I find are ideal for both.

Apologies, I should have said- It is a race prepared MGB GTV8 that will only be used on the track - approx 1000kg with drum brakes at rear.

I have previously used Carbotech XP12 but have been struggling with pad deposits on discs causing brake judder and very short life of the pads.

Have read good things about PF01 so thought I would give them a go. Just wanted to speak to someone knowledgeable about the compound to make sure I was opting for the right one.

They are a main agent for PF and crucially have first-hand experience running different cars in trackdays and race over the many different compounds.

Thanks for the input guys - just to let any of you who use PF01 pads know - there seems to be a bit of supply issue, only stock available is that on shelves, so if you need any in next couple of weeks it might be wise to start hunting.
