I'm looking to source a set of custom pistons, and was wondering whether anyone can recommend some companies that would be able to provide some. I've already contacted a number of piston suppliers, and was really wondering if there are any I've missed.
Ideally within the UK or Europe due to shipping/leadtimes/duty.

+1 for Omega Pistons, we've used them for custom work in the past. Also Wossner pistons, who've turned low volume custom stuff around for us quickly too.

Thanks all- I've had a talk with Omega, JE and Performance Unlimited amongst others, and I think one of them should be able to do what I'm after. I'll post back when I have the final items sorted. smile

If you feel like venturing over the other side of the pond, I can recomment CP Pistons in California. Most excellent pistons dude! It all depends what you want to use them for - how much expansion when they warm up, etc... - going by your moniker, you are looking for pistons for a turbocharged engine?

I had a set of pistons from CP a few years ago for my loopy Chevy smallblock, following a recommendation from an American engine builder. They supply quite a few NASCAR teams engine shops, as well as many others.

Otherwise, I've always used Cosworth for non-US engines.

Definately Omegas are the ones to go for, I have been using them for 20+ years and all others fall by the wayside. OK their delivery is a little slow but some things in life are worth waiting for. I have even spoken to other piston manufacturers around the world at motorsport shows and they are highly respected.

Speak to Fred there, he is the best.

Just thought I'd give a quick update (felt guilty that I haven't yet after all the advice!). We spoke to JE and Omega, and Omega didn't have a blank close to what we're after so we went with JE. I'll make sure I put up some pics when they arrive!

Thanks for the advice everyone thumbup

Maybe not when you asked but Omega definitely produce pistons from solid billets now using 3D machining technology.

Used CP pistons custom made for my MGC £750 plus vat , ordered from Damico race engines who build the engine.
