Anybody ever get a custom set of headers made for a small block which would fit under the hood of a Canam? If so who made them etc?

These are shorties for the Pontiac GTO.
A good choice to have something to start with for a DIY exhaust system.
Brand ist OBX and they are 299 USD.

However I am also interested for a possible LS engined car. Can you comment on their performance yet?

Not yet. I still have to build the rest around it.

I can't see very well from pictures. Is the collector in a good position to carry on the rest of the system?

I plan to cut off the joint. There is no way to use it.
The position is not ideal and especially between transmission adaptor-plate and chassis it is a little narrow.
But still a good thing. With a short 45 degree angle it is doable to go from there with a 3inch tube.

I had a custom exhaust system made for my LS powered TVR Sagaris. Not the same as the Ultima, and clearly the engine is different. But the system was far more complex than an Ultima instalation.

I used Chris Tullett Exhausts in Aylesbury and I can't praise them enough. The workmanship is stunning and they were the only people I outsourced work to in the build of my car who did the work when they said they would, for the price agreed up front and delivered on time.

Fabulous work in stainless steel - you can barely see the welds....

You asked about custom headers. So presumably you'd get custom headers made for your SBC?

I am trying to find out if anybody has had custom headers made for a Small Block Chevy engine. By Small block I mean old school not LS. I am doing this in the vain hope that I can find a manufacturer who has experience or patterns so that I don't have to pay 1 off fabrication charges. There is also a very slim chance that somebody might put their hand up and say "hey I have a set that I no longer need" Apologies if that was not clear in my initial post.

The factory supply SBC headers that fit a Can-Am, or is there a reason why you don't want factory headers?

Ours are a bit of a work of art, still awaiting coating...

We have got standard LS7 manifolds for sale if anyone is interested....not had time to put them on the for sale bit yet.

Does anyone know if the LS7 headers will fit the LS3, I have the standard cast manifolds on mine at present, keep taking them off to spray them silver as they tend to rust.

The positioning of those coil packs looks awfully familiar!

And these really are a work of art.....
