I like the wheels, not so much the car but I admire your work. What is with the steering wheel hanging down??

bbs racing split rims center locks
3 seater center steer so wheel comes off & hangs on a little hook so you can get in / out

Been reading your thread on the Locost forum, must congratulate you on getting a race car through IVA couldn't have been easy. Twin turbo Audi V6 looks like a compact neat installation, does it suffer from heat the turbos?
Well done

Is this your own design or was it a race car to start with? Looks a little like a stratos.

any chance you could post a link to the build? smile

Like it. It's different and purposeful, well done, looks great. No doubt it's gonna be quick too.

it was built mid '90s to race in british gt series but rules changed & was never raced. parked up for over 10 years & been butchered a bit. i got it 2 1/2 years ago with a view of making a road legal track car rather than a road car for track days. just got it finished & tried it down the road and was surprisingly good for the race suspension than is on it

How hard was it to get through the IVA? Also have you got ayn mods for the body work? I recon with a few mods it could be made to looks like a more modern Stratos, like was Lancia and ferrari did recently! with the engine combo you have it should mnake it a real rocket to drive on the road and track!

it has the startos screen but thats about it for likeness, it's much longer.
not too many tweeks for IVA, noise was one of the biggest issues but was sorted.
it will do 63 in first gear so yes it's a bit ballistic down the road LOL got a track day on sunday so see how it goes

Fantastic car KHM.
I saw it at the Newark Kitcar show at weekend and was mighty impressed.
I'd love to see more details about the car/re-build.

Thanks Keith,
link works, what a great project.
Where did you find it in the first place?
I was also very impressed with the interior at Newark. I'd assumed the whole thing was a Carbon Fibre Mono.
BTW Love the new colour scheme.

got the car from ross on wye, found it on motorsport ads while looking for a twin plane wing for the radical sr3 that we had at the time
fooled you !! its actually space frame chassis with ally panels with m3 carbon wrap, job for the future to get carbon panels moulded off the ally panels
