Just got back from my first trip in the Ultima, Milau Bridge and back 1800 miles in 4 days. Longest trip before that was to Charles Dunn to have the bump steer set last week 75 mile round trip. Car has now done 3500 miles
Only issues with the car were the aircon not working very well, caused by the fan blowing the wrong way (my wiring) wiper was crap it did piss down a few times, washer bottle boiled up while stuck in traffic popped the pipe of the jet and burnt my left foot, and the brake light switch packed up .Oh and the petrol consumption put £850.00 in it !! Looking forward to the next one Black Forest hopefully.
Went with 4 Porsches and a Merc one Porsche broke down and came back on a flat bed.
It attracted lots of attention at petrol stations stopped in a few of them! even attacted the attention of the local Police 90 euros please Monsieur.
Just read the post about the wiper thingy, might have to get one.

[quote=Storer]What engine have you got as that is only 13.5mpg and I would have expected nearer 20mpg from an LS7 on a long cruising trip.
Sounds like good fun though. Enjoy.
Mast motorsport ls7 tuned Is a bit lumpy under 2000 rpm and a nit juicy would probably go for a standard lump if I did it again, but it does go like stink

Don't understand that. The ducting from the rad should be directing the hot air out of the front clip.
It does but some still gets to the battery and washer bottle area. If you a not moving for ages on the Paris ring road( shatnav took us there! ) it will get bloody hot
