Well I've finally got my hands on a G50/02 box (when it arrives tomorrow )
Now all I need is some advice on the additional bits needed, i believe it has the release fork and speed sensor but not much else, I can make the mounting bracket for the rear end no problem ( I'm sure it will look much more attractive machined from billet alloy anyway) but as for the clutch end, would It be better ( and cheaper) to find a set of secondhand 911 clutch components on the web or does the factory clutch kit come with everything I need and is it better than a standard 911 clutch assembly ( if indeed it can be used)?

you will need several bits,

fork, pinion for the fork, bearings and a clutch take cylinder, I am sure the factory can supply all of that including a complete
clutch set which is not cheaper if you buy it from Porsche directly. In fact if you buy it from the factory they will supply you screws
to attach the clutch to the flywheel. Make sure you have the right adapter plate and also tell the factory what you have.
If you cannot source a pinion easily I can maybe sell you one with the bearings, a friend of mine made them for me and they are actually
better then the origina porsche ones which are not hardened and suffer from bearing wear after a while.
