Hi Folks,

did a nice trip to lake colico over the WE and still suffering from loosening the tail when hard braking. I assume I still need to bring more braking
to the front to avoid that. Or what is your experience with tail happy car under braking ?

You are correct, when your brakes are correct the front and rear will lock at the same time.

This is easy to acheive, you just have to put the time in. Go to a road that you can get a significant speed on and brake repeatedly while in between trials adjusting your balance bar.

Nothing stops faster once your car is adjusted correctly.

That is correct in an ideal world, but in reality you want to set it up so that the FRONTS lock first - if you set it up so they all lock together, you could easily (depending on the surface you are on) end up with the rears locking first, and that is the last thing you want....that's hedge/barrier time!

It just gives you that little bit of safety margin.

thanks I will do as suggested, loosing the tail is not so much of a funny experience especially if the car is still doing 60mph.........

Get fronts locking before the rear. You need that margin for change in surfaces.

I know how you feel though. I had the same problem in a 180sx locking the rears at 180km/h. That was a throw away pants moment.

Dont forget to turn the bias even more to the front when roads are damp or wet.

ok just to make sure, the shorter the lever the more power goes to this rod ?
I have no shortened the distance between ball and left rod which is the one going
to the front wheels.
