Just a quick question.... I live in Edinburgh and have a house in Italy and was wondering how a GTR would cope on a long stint ?
Is it a pain on the ferry and French tolls (I have the magic box for Italy)?
Lastly do you think it would be a pain to build the car away from the UK ?
Many thanks Olly

It would be a fun ride but well short of the creature comforts.
The guys in the US seem to make that sort of journey without problems.
If the ferry ramp does not look good just stop. They can normally adjust the ramp angle but tend to leave it where it lands and only adjust it if they have to.

I run my GTR at least every six weeks from Prague to Germany and back. Last weekend it was 1400 miles from Prague to Budapest to Vienne and back without any major problems, mechanical or creature comfort.
I have busted two top bolts on the alternater bracket and had a problem with the temp once in a traffic jam.
Otherwise, the only real problem was a lack of 996's or other playthings enroute.
