Hi

How many Ultima's are going to be attending the open day next weekend ?

I would really like to talk to owners face to face and see their cars so I can make up my mind on the spec that I would like to build to smile

I'll be there just before 10am, albeit in the RS picking up my next few stages of build parts from the lads smile

Will there be bacon butties on offer when we get there? wink

You sound like are old PH friend GTWayne (The Dark One) - hope you have an appetite as big as his!

LOL! When it comes to bacon butties, I have a "healthy" appetite!

I look forwards to seeing you forum regulars there.... I'll be the one swapping cash for lots of boxes and filling up the boot of my Focus RS! (and munching on any available fodder, of course).

Thanks, might pop up with my lad if I can escape

I went to Caring with Cars with a mate in his ex-race car and I saw a few Ultimas there...got my mind to thinking...

it's not practical to start the build for a year or two, but there are some man-maths spreadsheets that need building first, but I already have outline Senior Management approval....

Probably not. The Factory provides a buffet lunch which is well worth hanging around for!

A plan is forming. Turn up about 12.00, view cars outside, HAVE LUNCH, collect parts ordered, off home for dinner.

My sort of day. See you there.

Hi Dave,

what kind of engineering is that ? Have you gone to the dark side ?
Enjoying building more than driving ?

I'd like to go, I think it's time I stopped thinking about all this and start actually taking a look at potential choices.

I'm happy to drive up but thought I'd be really cheeky and see if anyone is going up from London in an Ultima that I can catch a lift with. Obviously I'd pay for my fair share of the fuel and don't worry I know how much that can cost (last fill on the XJR before I put it up for sale was £85 so it really won't come as a shock).

Thanks.

Popping along as potentially looking at Ultima as next car. Haven't decided on self build or buy second hand, so will be good to look at other's cars for inspiration.

Good to meet some owners and see some great cars. Orange GTR was special.
