I am getting very close to finally fitting the body (it has been on and off a number of times so far).

Being lazy and not looking at the build manual, what needs to be fitted before I permanently fit the body. BTW I have no side pod luggage boxes so access to run pipe and cable is relatively good.

I suspect the wiring loom needs fitting, air-con and heater pipes, (fuel tanks, battery cable and brake/clutch pipes already fitted). I plan to fit the headlining to make life easier. Anything else you would recommend fitting?

I painted the fuel tanks with twin pack black first, didn't like it so repainted them silver and am much happier with the finish.

It goes off for paint in a couple of weeks followed by the trimmers.

Not much chance it will be on the road before the winter. So much for having it done by June!!!

Also run a 5 or 7 core trailer flex between the rear and the fuse box. That way if you need extra wires for aftermarket mods they are there ready to go between the front and rear of the car. Also decide if you want reverse camera/sensors now and run those cables as well.

Two useful suggestions, thanks Allan.

I have spent many (many, many) hours repairing and strengthening the bodywork where it had been damaged in the past along with a few modifications. The other time consuming process is cleaning and refurbishing/repainting of components. Oh to be able to open a box and just fit new parts!!!

I am still enjoying the process though and the buzz you get when you fit something you have rebuilt that looks better than it would have done when new is worth the effort.
