Coming from cars such as the Atom, I'm not too worried about a sound system in an out and out perfomance car. So initials thoughts were not fit anything to the Ultima

Do others see this as a problem when time comes to sell the car on ? Do Ultima owners expect to listen to CD's on the move ?

Don't bother with a sound system you won't hear it.

Ear buds and a Phone are all you need. A must for long trips. Anything else is not useable.

What you can do is install the speakers in the panels down by your feet, and the passenger's feet, and then just have an amplifier on the bulkhead behind the drivers seat, which you can plug your iPod into...

Then you just use the iPod "noise cancelling" App, which recognises the noise in the cabin and plays the opposite "cancelling" noise through the speakers - The combination of the two makes the journey a lot more comfortable on your ears.

The noise of the engine is music. But sometime i think a radio would be handy, is on long trips when a bit of traffic news would give me a bit of heads up on whats ahead, not been caught out yet but. ........... .

I see that none of you has installed the right speakers and amp so you miss all the fun driving the car with Jamiroquais music.........

Pah, stereos are for girls..... I'm planning a fully PC install in my car :P

Speakers & amp are the the sticking point tho', need to find kit that'll work in the car, which could be tricky.

I did the shopping in it went to B&Q drove it to work pick up my daughter from School just loved the attention it got I suppose...
