Looks good Ken. I do think that the marque needs a badge. I wonder what the factory would say and why it hasn't had one to date?
Personally I would like to see the words 'Ultima Sports' in gold against a black backgound, but thats just me.

Semper Eadem...always the same. I think that it is the crest from the area that the factory is in. I got it from an internet search, the heraldry is a direct copy and before going any further with it I'll contact the artist. I'm not going to sell these to make any money but will try and find someone to make resin covered decals of them for the car (as in the decals seen on Ferrari fenders)...assuming Ted and Richard haven't already started on one of their own.
The car has a racing heritage, is born of England and the USA. This was the inspiration for the colors and the crest.
It's a fantastic car, it really deserves a crest.

Personally I think it's too colourful (although this is part of your racing theme). Maybe the design and just in gold or silver?
I'm also curious about what you meant of 'born of the UK and the US'? Do you mean that someone from the US, or a US company helped in a major way with the design of the Ultima? Or do you just mean that customers from both the UK and US build it?

I think the UK and USA thing is symbolic of the American power plant and UK chassis. The crest may look alot better when or if it is created with enamel (or whatever the stuff emblems on cars are made from, caddy, porker, Lamb) so the colors have a depth and luster to them rather than the rather flat looking colors on a computer screen.

Imagine the design cast as a badge in chrome with the depressions in the badge painted, the white areas of the design will be chrome.

I can put you in touch with a very good & reputable manufacturer for your needs, that do a lot of automotive emblems, badges etc - just the sort you're looking for.
Send me an email, and I'll pass on the contact, but you'll probably need to show that all the copyright issues have been rectified, permission granted & covered before they will accept your instructions for manufacturing I think.

I mentioned the 'missing crest/badge' thing to David McD a couple of years back. He was reluctant to redesign anything as he had just got a whole lot of stuff printed with the current logo on.
I was going to put the Chevy 'crossed flags' emblem on mine, after all, that's the heart of the machine.

I think I just tell everyone its a chop top civic with a body kit + a rear mounted v8.
