i have a very slight oil weep on my g50 box in my T70 which doesnt seem to go away. it looks to be coming from the seal between the back of the box and the diff area, being the main joint if you like all way around the box/diff. looks to weep slightly when the box is hot on track, a very fine mist of oil vapour escapes.
does anyone know if the box can be split there and a seal replaced? i'm quite happy to have a look myself as we fitted the torsen diff 2 yrs ago ourselves and its been fine since other than this recent oil weep. the box is modded to run upside down also and i run a catch can/breather via a modified (drain) sump plug.
any help appreciated cheers

I believe the rear section can simply be un-bolted and removed even with the box still in the car (Ultima, not sure if the T70 has access). Not done it myself.

Before you go to that hassel you might confirm that the box is being ventilated correctly, is a hose pinched, maybe the catch can is near full. Just a thought. Lee

catch can is empty and the hose is fine, so i suspect its a slight weep from somewhere altho ist v difficult to pinpoint where.
anyone recommend anyone who knows these boxes inside out so i can have a chat ?
