How has the reduction in chassis stiffness due shorter diagonal bracing been compensated ?

nice, these guys have put a lot of effort in this car. however I wonder if he really needs the rain sensor, I rather would not be caught in the rain with this kind of horsepower..........

is that at 46 seconds, if so that looks like the way the fully welded FIA cage mounts?

Was it me or did that say 1300kgs.......ouch
But I love the interior simple and not to overstated... Whats the touch screen thing there on about then, even the circuit board seems to be bespoke with there name on it..

Also is that a window in the bulkhead or a Flat screen ?? seems to have some text come up on it near the end of that run.....

It's the turbos..the size of them...wouldn't look out of place on a Peterbilt truck.

Lovely interior / detailing. Can't imagine the gearbox will last long. Would be lovely with a cooking LS7, I don't believe more HP is more in most cases.

Paul, Nelson's engines are pretty well put together. Tom and his team have done alot of developemnt work to get the right parts together. Not saying its going to do 50,000 miles at 40psi but on the pump gas boost / tune it should last a LONG time! Dont forget this is a 1100bhp engine! smile

Nice to see nelson racing engines and ultima getting some recognition after the lack of it with the Masimus c0ckend that said it was his owne chassis and engine!

Chris

I am not saying the engine is poorly made and I am sure they use top quality components. However, getting even 1100hp out of an engine is going to see components under considerable stress and normal everyday use is not what this type of engine is designed for.

I doubt this car would be much fun to drive on the road either. With the Ultima's light weight it is easy to light up the wheels with 400+hp NA. When those massive turbos kick in it would need a very good driver to keep it out of the scenery.
