Honestly, it looks like a go kart track. Who won in the end? I imagine by the female squeals, it must have been Sabine...

A friend of mine designed that track, when they did the initial testing of it at the Excel the fastest car around it was the reasonably priced car...it beat all the exotics including the XJ220 and the Jaguar Le Mans car, the only thing that came close was the Bowler Wildcat!

The surface doesn't lend itself to fat tyres, skinny rubber was much better.

That clip was shot at the NEC where there were two further issues in that they had to straddle two halls and there were lots of pillars in the way which did give some heart-stopping moments in testing...

Hi Dom

It was Mark Poxtons old car, Ashley went and he said it sounded awesome in the enclosed hall!!

Wrapped in black, we recognized the big wheels

There are only a few people from the TG production team involved in TGL, the rest is put together by event specialists

yep appreciated , but a shame the ones ( we'll call them May Hammond and Clarkson )that are involved in both , dont think " thats a good idea an English built supper car ( possibly built in a shed :-), the may angle on it ) would go down well on the show " just a thought ???

If I remember correctly, the last 'Kit Car' thay had on test was the Lancia Stratos, which Clarkson verbally and mechanically destroyed after driving it as if wearing 'Lead, deep sea diving shoes' he cooked the brakes after a few laps leaving viewers to form their own opinion. Any Ultima given to them had better be bulletproof.

Success on that track was more about the cahunas and control of the driver than the vehicle, as I said earlier the slower cars were easier to get around quickly.

The fastest was the Evora driven by the Lotus Motorsport chappie that finessed the track design, he apparently displayed some skills....
