We have been on the hunt for some 'ecomonical' louvre panels for the front and rear wheel arches for some time now, but to no avail. The best we can do are the ones in the link below, but they are a bit small. Does anyone have any idea of where some similar ones are available from, but bigger (maybe 200 wide by 300-400 long?)). A quick Google search throws up loads of alloy panels but they are too small.

Thanks in advance

After months searching I got a set from ADR Engineering but it doesn't match caused by the curvature on the Ultima's fender.
Asked Reverie but they are for Elise cars (too small)
Finally I got a set from FFR . I'm in the process to fit them and it looks good.
May be an aceptable option.
Cheers,
Javier

Not that I am thinking of defecting, but that's one nice looking car ...and with electric windows as well!

Ohhh, they are spoiling their customers!

I think SSS may have a spare set of carbon louvres kicking around. Wouldn't be cheap but they're v nice quality and match the curves perfectly....

hi

Hasn't Tangos car go louved fenders?? sorry i cant remember

I know Martins Time Attack car has and they look fantastic.

Also why do you want them? Looks or presure under the arches?

I only ask as my car doesnt have them but i do have the vents at the back opened up by the factory. The result is i dont get water on the windscreen from the front tyres which is the disadvantage of vents on the top.

As its a race car, purely function (as long as they don't look ridiculous!). We have some now but they are a tad small - the bigger the better really - less lift/more downforce etc. We are doing a fair few aero mods to the car in the off season and this is one of them.

The spray comment isn't too much of an issue - there is so much spray from the other cars a bit from our front wheels will make very little difference!

It wont do any harm to open up the vents at the back of the front arches anyway. I have no clip lift at high speed so they oviously work , but i dont know if the factory still sell the optional vents to fit in the holes..I can send you photos of mine if you wish..

If you want top louvres Steve Smith is the man to contact other wise you will be modifying radical ones trying to get them to fit..

Dont you also have a front spliter that would be reducing the presure and air flow under the car, resulting in a furhter decrease in the presure and posible causes for front clip lift?

They still sell the kit to open up the rear vent, I think they call it a brake cooling duct for some reason.

We have those already - though the more venting we have the better! Will give Steve Smith a try, thanks.

The factory still makes and sells the ducts to make the side vents for the front wings functional.

http://www.motorsportretro.com/2011/10/nissan-gtp-...

photo 4 of 5 in the add shows the adjustable vent lourver that nissan had on the GTP. from what i have read it was ducted directly to the underside of the front undertray. by opening and closing the vent they could vary the amount of downforce and balance the car. reported to be almost drag invisable.

acording to this book anyway.

That is the kind of thing we are after - though preferably in alloy or plastic.

Difficult to adjust to GTR's curved fenders......to much rigid in CF. IMHO.
