Is the Stealth really based on an Ultima? I can see certain similarities with the centre section, but the chassis looks different (well most of the bits that I can see). I quite like it though.

no, they have similar heritage, but the stealth is based on the prosport.

Back in the early nineties Bob Light raced an Ultima for several years, always used to finish first and at least a lap ahead of everyone else in the Castle Combe GT series. He developed/modified the Ultima to the extent that it became the Stealth. So I would say the Stealth is based on an Ultima. When I completed my GTR in 2001/2002 I visited Castle Combe in Bob Light's last season racing the Stealth and had a good look at it in the pits. You could certainly see Ultima dna, but the suspension setup was very different as was the powertrain.

as far as I was aware.... the stealth was developed from the LM3000 prosport that was also campaigned with some success by bob light I even have a picture of the first stealth before it became a "stealth"... the stealth chassis and prosport are of similar design - far more race car orientated than the ultima was.

Guys,

I set up that page some years ago. Traffic and edits are light on it these days, especially as the factory seem to have gone quiet on marketing 'stunts', but it really could do with some objective, independent, and sourced fleshing out anyway.

Wikipedia is free to edit by anyone. So fill yer boots.

Please somebody fix all the American English errors. There's only so many times a man can change 'Ultima manufactures' back to (the more natural to the British reader) 'Ultima manufacture' before giving up.

I put the stuff about the B6 in there as someone seemed to want to big up their favorite hotrod, so I thought I'd flesh out the platform section if I could. The only car I found which was reportedly based on the Ult was the B6. I found something on a forum (might have been here) about the ProSport connection, but that's not really an admissible reference.

It really is a piss poor article at the minute, so any help would be awesome.
